IP Management
Each PlaySafe VPS gets one public IPv4 address when it is set up. It is the address your players and users connect to, and it is covered by the DDoS protection included in your plan.
Where to find it
- On the server card in Hosting > Virtual Servers.
- On the server page: the Details card, the Console tab and the Network tab. Each has a copy icon next to the address.
While the server is being set up the panel shows Not assigned.
How long you keep it
| Event | What happens to the IP |
|---|---|
| Reboot, stop, start | Unchanged |
| Reinstall | Unchanged |
| Renewal | Unchanged |
| Suspension after the renewal date | Kept during the 3 day grace period |
| Termination | Released. It cannot be recovered |
Using a domain name
To reach the server by name, create an A record at your DNS provider pointing to the server IP:
Type Name Value
A @ <your-vps-ip>
A play <your-vps-ip> Binding services
Services that listen on 0.0.0.0 (all addresses) are reachable on the public IP. This is what most game servers expect.
Additional IPs and IPv6
The panel shows and manages one IPv4 address per server. There is no option to add more addresses or to move an address to another server. If you need an extra IPv4, or IPv6 on a Professional plan, open a ticket from Tickets in the sidebar.
