Metrics

Open Hosting > Virtual Servers, click your server and open the Metrics tab. It shows how the server is doing right now and over the last hour.

Status line

At the top of the tab a line such as Live · running · up 4d 17h shows the machine state and how long it has been on since the last boot. The values update on their own while the page is open. Click Refresh to reload the charts.

Usage cards

CardWhat it shows
CPUCurrent CPU usage in percent, and the number of vCores
RAMMemory used in percent, and used / total MB
Net InData received since the last boot
Net OutData sent since the last boot

Net In and Net Out start from zero again every time the server boots.

Charts

  • Last Hour, CPU & RAM: CPU in percent (blue) and RAM in MB (purple) over the last hour.
  • Last Hour, Network: inbound (In, green) and outbound (Out, amber) traffic over the last hour.

Use them to spot CPU or memory spikes, a memory leak, or unusual traffic.

Memory figures on Linux and Windows

ServerWhat the memory figure is
Linux with qemu-guest-agent runningThe real memory used by your programs, the same value as free -h. The Resources card also shows the MB available
Linux without the agentMemory as seen from outside the server, which includes the Linux file cache. A note says “Includes filesystem cache”
Windows ServerMemory as reported from outside the server

Linux servers come with qemu-guest-agent installed. If the panel shows the file cache note, check that the agent is running:

systemctl status qemu-guest-agent

If it is missing, install it again with apt install qemu-guest-agent and start it with systemctl enable --now qemu-guest-agent.

ℹ

Why Linux memory can look full

Linux uses free memory as a file cache and gives it back as soon as a program needs it. Without the agent, the panel cannot tell the cache from real usage, so the bar can look full on an idle server.
